Terms of Service
Last updated 3 October 2026
Hilya ("the app") is operated by Asillah Al Harthi ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the app you agree to these terms.
The service
Hilya lets you keep a private registry of your jewellery, follow live gold and silver prices, and estimate zakat. Hilya is a software subscription only: we do not buy, sell, hold or trade gold, silver, jewellery or any investment, and nothing in the app is investment or financial advice. Prices come from third-party market sources and may be delayed or inaccurate. Goldsmith charges and shop prices are estimates or user-submitted and are not verified.
Not religious or financial advice
Zakat figures and school-of-thought rulings are simplified guidance only. Please consult a qualified scholar or your local zakat authority before paying. Values shown are not appraisals or insurance valuations.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for the accuracy of what you enter. You can delete your account at any time from My account; this permanently removes your data.
Premium subscription
- Premium is billed monthly or yearly in advance. Prices are shown before you pay and may include local taxes.
- New subscribers get one 7-day free trial per person. You won't be charged if you cancel before it ends.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel any time from Manage subscription; Premium stays active until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Switching between monthly and yearly takes effect immediately and charges or credits the prorated difference.
- Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
See our Refund Policy and Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
You agree to use Hilya only for lawful, personal purposes. You must not:
- use the app for anything unlawful, or to store or share content you have no right to;
- commit fraud, send spam, or post false, misleading or fake shop prices;
- upload content that infringes anyone's copyright, trademark or other intellectual property, or that is offensive, hateful or harmful;
- interfere with the app's security: no malware, probing, scanning, scraping, overloading, or trying to access other people's accounts or data;
- reverse engineer, copy, resell or redistribute the app, or get around its limits or Premium features;
- misuse the AI photo descriptions, for example to try to make it produce harmful or misleading content.
AI descriptions may be inaccurate. Check them before saving, and remember you are responsible for the photos you upload.
Intellectual property
Asillah Al Harthi owns the app and all its intellectual property, including the software, design, text, documentation, and the Hilya name and logo. We give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app for your own use within your plan. Your photos and data stay yours. You only let us store and process them so we can provide the service.
Availability
We work to keep Hilya running smoothly, but we do not guarantee it will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, don't pay what you owe, or if your account poses a security or fraud risk. We may also remove content that breaks these rules. If your access ends, you can ask us for a copy of your data within 30 days, after which it is deleted.
Payments
Payment, billing, taxes, cancellations and refunds are also covered by Paddle's Buyer Terms.
Liability
The app is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses arising from reliance on prices, valuations or zakat calculations shown in the app.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms and will show the new date above. Questions: support@myhilya.com. These terms are governed by the laws of the Sultanate of Oman.
